What can we expect in the next few decades? It may be difficult to give the right answer, but we know that no less than two-thirds of the global population will live in cities by 2050. Where will they live, how will they commute, and which city services will they use?

At the 10th Meeting of mayors and entrepreneurs, which was held in Split, Croatia, from November 21 – 23, with our partners SAP and Axiros we talked about the new platform developed for City Leaders for successful city management.

With an increasing number of people living in cities, it is not difficult to imagine the infrastructural and economic challenges that urban environments might face. The cities that manage to respond to them will enable their inhabitants prosperous and sustainable living conditions. The good news is that City Leaders can now act in that direction using a new platform that provides all the necessary tools. In cooperation with our partners, SAP and Axiros, Inceptum has developed the „eMayor“ platform that collects data from various systems and arranges them according to relevance for a particular city.

Thanks to the „eMayor“ platform, the city government, through a mobile application, has insight, in real time, into the business of all city companies, institutions and offices. They also have valuable information about traffic situation, water and air quality and noise levels at various locations in the city. But where does the data come from? In the background it is the AXIROS platform that collects data from various Internet of Things (IoT) devices installed in the city and integrated with the SAP S/4 HANA system.

However, this platform provides citizens insight into the complete state of the city and through the Citizens’ Portal, they can easily access different city services such as health institutions, libraries and all municipal services.

Thanks to innovative technology, citizens are actively involved in making decisions that affect the quality of life, and city leaders in every moment have an insight into resources, costs, and processes and can react in a timely manner. Managing cities like that becomes easy and efficient, and decisions that are made, are transparent and based on the cooperation and trust of city authorities and citizens.
